State Champs
My high school has been so bad at football since the 60's, but this weekend we found a way to win the state title. We have always had good athletes, but there was always a bad coach or something that stopped the success of our program. This year it was the opposite. Our team was usually undersized, but had a great coach and program backing them. We had a few athletes but many of the kids were just hard working and played with their heads. Coach Bush, a former Syracuse coach, has took our program from a no name to state champs.....he has done the same in other states and was not sure what would happen coming to New York. Either way, congrats WG and keep it up.
About time..
This weekend was an about time kinda weekend. I have been hunting all season with the worst luck, but this weekend I bagged my first white tail. Not huge but its venison. Also it was about that time of year again where I had to work with my uncle and cousin to set up the Christmas tree farm. We have been planting trees since I was five and selling since I was 15 or so so by now I am used to it, but its still a pain getting it done every year. I look forward to working on the weekends because I get to see my cousin who is like a brother to me and who doesn't want to make money? It is not hard work but tis long days...o well gotta buy x-mas gifts some how.

I feel home
Nothing makes me feel more at home then being around my friends. The times we have are unforgettable and nothing is more fun then just spending time with them. My girlfriend and I have the same group of friends which makes things even better. I look forward to the laughs and good times I will have in the next week or so and can not wait to see them all again over x-mas break....should get interesting.
YET ANOTHER DEBATE
So it was Peyton or Tom now its Terrell or Randy. This weeks NFL debate is about the receivers. New England's Randy Moss or Dallas's Terrell Owens. It has been said that both have had a lack of team spirit and will to preform within a team, but this year both are shining on and off the field. Both are having outstanding seasons..possibly record breaking and both are staying out of the negative side of the news.....can you ask for more?
Randy Moss...6'4", 210 lbs, and 10 years expedience. Through 12 games Moss has 75 receptions for 1,129 yards and 17 touch downs...a great season for many, but moss still has 4 games to add to those mind blowing stats. The Patriots are 12-0 with no slowing down in sight.
Terrell Owens...6'3", 218 lbs, and 12 years experience. Through 12 games Owens has 71 receptions for 1,249 yards and 14 touch downs. Again a great season for some but Owens will surly add to those stats. The Cowboys are 11-1 through 12 weeks and seem to be the favorite in their conference.
Clearly, there are few differences among these future hall of famers, but they are there. Both seem to have escaped their negative attitudes, winning will do that, but Moss seems to be on a better track. Smiling, encouraging, and putting in 100% at all times. True, Owens has also come from under the dark cloud, but it seems that he could slide back into the dark as quick as he emerged. Athletically, both Owens and Moss are gifted. Number one receivers and go to guys, but Moss is the classic definition of "Throw it up and I'll go get it." Granted Owens is a better target across the middle and may or may not have the deep ball mentality, but whats better a short fade to the empty corner of the end zone or a forced ball into the clogged middle? This seems to be the major difference and for that reason I would be inclined to take Moss before Owens if I was in the suit and tie.

CORTACA
So this weekend was Cortaca and it was full of fun. My friends from high school came up, plus all my roommates had friends up so there were 15 people in my suite. Not much sleeping room, but plenty of laughs. I had not seen one of my friends sense school started so it was good to hang out with him. We chilled in our suite for a lot of the weekend eating chips and drinking soda...it made for a long day. We headed out both friday and saturday to meet up with some other people. It was overall a great weekend and I can not wait to get home and see them all again.

colts or pats
So the ultimate game of our time took place this weekend....undefeated colts...undefeated pats. So the ultimate question was asked....who is better? It was proven on the field..at least that day that the pats are better as a team...but it is left to debate...Peyton or Tom? In my opinion I'd be proud to have either on my team, but I would have to say Brady is the best. Stats are about the same on all levels give or take a bit, but Brady has the intangibles. Sure Peyton can audible and control his team, but isn't that what the quarterback is supposed to do? Brady on the other hand also has the up most respect and control of his team, but almost always finds a way to win....ahead by 30 or down by 12. He just has the indescribable character and attributes of a winner. After all is the point of the game to rack up stats or to win the game??????

Outdoors
So this weekend I got to go home again which was nice...made it even better that i got to go hunting. Unfortunately I did not kill anything, but I got to see some people I have not in a long time and it was a great weekend. I had some of the best experiences in the woods I've ever had. 15 yards from a buck walking straight at me on ground level....not bad. I also got to hunt some land that I have never been on before. It looked promising but none of us got anything...that was disappointing....either way good weekend and look forward to doing it again...with a little better result.
